Announcing: Cora Florence Nelson

Baby Nelson, a sweet little girl, was born October 30, 2023 at 4:58am. She was 8lbs 7oz and 21in long with a head full of dark hair, just like her dad. We named her Cora Florence Nelson, a name we came up with for our future daughter way back in 2020 when we first started trying to conceive. She is lovingly named after her great grandmothers, Carolyn (Andrew’s grandmother) and Lora (Sydnie’s grandmother). Little did we know that almost 4 years later she would make her grand entrance after countless negative pregnancy tests, a few medicated cycles (Clomid & Letrozole) with timed intercourse, 4 failed IUIs, a frozen IVF embryo transfer, 40 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy, 12 hours of unmedicated labor, and 2.5 hours of pushing. We are in awe of our precious daughter and praise God for the gift of her life!

We are choosing to protect our daughter’s privacy by not sharing photos of her face publicly on social media or here on the blog. My Instagram is now set to private so that we can still share photos of her, but with trusted friends and family. I’ve posted her birth story under a new “Cora” category on the blog that is password protected. If you’d like to read the birth story, please reach out and I can provide the password.
